Maybe Reggie Bush knew the game was shown on the west coast
Maybe Reggie Bush knew the Miami Dolphins game was being shown on the west coast? After-all, there was a chance that Kim Kardashian would be watching. Just in case, Reggie showed her and the Oakland Raiders a thing or two.
After the Raiders defense held the San Diego Chargers defense to only 32 yards on 20 carries in the opener, the Dolphins amassed 230. Reggie Bush was credited with 172 of those yards.
Bush was electric breaking tackles and embarrassing the Oakland defense. He had touchdown runs from 23 yards and 65 yards away as he torched the defense.
If the Dolphins plan on contending in the AFC East they will need performances like this by Reggie Bush, not just once in a while, but consistently. This is only his sixth 100-yard performance as a member of the Miami Dolphins.
No matter how unhappy fans may be, this performance shows that progress is being made, at least from Week 1.
Rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw his first NFL touchdown pass and avoided any turnovers after throwing three in his pro debut a week earlier. Much easier to throw the ball when the running game is firing on all cylinders.
