God and the NFL Give Tebow, Broncos a Playoff Win

Tim Tebow e1326067799982 300x258 God and the NFL Give Tebow, Broncos a Playoff Win Did anyone else find it odd that the officials in the Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers playoff game were named Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John?

Or was it just a conspiracy by the NFL to make sure Tim Tebow continued further into the playoffs, because there was no way he should have won…right?

Since Timmy has God’s attention its free-for-all for all the sinners?

What has Tebow done to deserve such luck and goodness. Is it prayer, his good nature, the fact that he is still a virgin? What is it?

What has he done that others have not that God has given him the strength to do things that no one thinks he can.

Maybe it’s the NFL who had to remind us about the new overtime rules.

We have heard it all during the 2011 NFL season about  Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos. They say he can’t pass, makes a good running back, is too religious, is a descendant of God and that he will never last in the National Football League. No matter the story Tim Tebow equals ratings and his rise to stardom in the NFL has been the story that can’t miss. To think the NFL would not find a way to make sure Tim Tebow continues in the playoffs would be insane.

Just ask CBS how important Mr. Tebow and “Tebow Time” is. Nearly 80 percent of the nation received the Patriots-Broncos game and CBS averaged a 19.5 percent of homes in 56 major markets. That was the second best figure in the regular season in 14 seasons since CBS reacquired the NFL in 1998. Now they get the chance to show it again!

It’s not only the game that is getting the ratings. Helped by the Tim Tebow-led Broncos vs. Patriots showdown, which drew nearly 30 million viewers in its prime-time runover, CBS’ 60 Minutes (18.5 million) had its best showing in nearly two years.

Step back for a minute and remember the NFL is a business and money is the goal. Put aside your favorite team, players and love for the game and remember that we just experienced a lockout that almost left NFL fans without a 2011 season. Money was the cause and the money that Tim Tebow is making for the NFL is off the charts.

ESPN stated, after the victory the state of Colorado converted its time zone from Mountain Time to Tebow Time.

Still no word on how this miraculous victory actually happened.

No conspiracy by the NFL, Broncos outright played better than the Steelers. It wasn’t a conspiracy that Thomas ran 80 yards for a TD, Steelers should have stopped him.

  • David Gustafson

If Tebow were Jewish or Muslim or Buddhist or Hindu nobody would care. Can’t all you Tebow-haters crawl back under the rocks from and just let the kid revel in his successes? Or maybe you should go out on the field and show that you can do better. If you can’t, shut-up.

The author of the article asks a very good question, “What makes Tim Tebow different?” First as a Christian he believes that the Bible is the inspired word of God. Most of those who criticize Tim would say they are Christians, but will only believe the parts of the Bible that they like, God is love, and etc. Second, Tim has made a personal decision to accept the atoning work of Jesus on the cross and has made Jesus his Savior and Lord. Most so called Christians don’t even believe in the diety of Christ much less His atoning sacrificial death. So you see, most people will never understand where Tim Tebow is com,ing from, because they reject the whole premise upon which he functions.

        AMEN !

when the steelers arn’t allowed to rush the quarter back anybody can throw passes, you could probably do it too. The on time that the defense touched the golden boy they were flagged and all they did was push him and he didn’t even fall to the ground. Looks viable to me, not

      • http://thepenaltyflag rick

also since Timmy has God with him all the time the refs should flag them for 12 men in the huddle every play!

      • http://ahabiblemoments.com Wayne Stark

        Dear anonymous:

Your “golden boy” comment may be correct but the rule you address is the same on both sides of the line of scrimage.

  • Saints42

You’re obviously an angry Steelers fan. The Broncos downright outplayed them. If anything, the officials favored the Steelers more, as shown by the backwards pass that was ruled incomplete and eventually led to a Steelers touchdown. You sound like a 12 year old.

  • Paul

The refs hap nothing to do with the outcome of this game. Tebow and the Broncos just played a great game.

  • Tebow Supporter

I think this article is weird because it discusses the status of Tim Tebow’s virginity and also displays half naked chicks at the same time. WTF!!!!!

    • http://thepenaltyflag rick

I think i figured it out. Tim is the modern day virgin fairy!

  • http://www.hardcoreracefans.com Mike Presley

Just thought about this GB, it was Josh McDaniels who drafted Demaryius Thomas with the 21st Pick in the 2010 Draft. It was also McDaniels who drafted Tebow with the 25th Pick in the 2010 Draft. McDaniels deserves some credit for this victory since he brought them to Denver in the first place.

You should not be aloud to write any kind if sports storys in the future. Just because somebody is a leader and a inspiring person, people like you need to find excuses for there success. They won the game because they played better, not because of religion or beliefs or the refs or the nfl etc etc… Get a life and take a page from tebow and live a live that inspires people and brings them hope. Your the biggest loser today…

    • April

The message of your comment would mean so much more if it were written better. Aloud? Storys? Really? Please learn the differences between there/their/they’re and your/you’re. Otherwise, I completely agree with you. The Broncos won because they played better.

  • Josh T.

This is a false article. Please see the link below. None of the officials names were of the Gospels. http://www.steelersdepot.com/2012/01/ron-winter-will-referee-steelers-broncos-afc-wild-card-game/

Tebow is not Gods quarterback. God has nothing to do with the Broncos win today. Am I really to believe that God is only helping Tim Tebow? Stop hyping this over rated quarterback up by using God. It’s an abomination. The Steelers played like a pop Warner football team today. Had they been able to tackle at all, Tebow and God wouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence. The man completed 10 passes and once again, less than 50% of his passes. He threw for 316 yards because the Steelers couldn’t make a damn tackle. God wasn’t there with Tebow. If anything, God was there with the receivers who couldn’t be tackled but then again he’s probably off dealing with something other then this over hyped over publicized, over rated quarterback. Brees, Brady, Manning, Rodgers… Those are quarterbacks. Tebows a hype who will disappear in no time. Agree or disagree, I am set on that belief.

The Broncos played better football, and the Steelers couldn’t believe it was happening.

hows the weather in Pittsburgh? hahaa

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_4UZLELYTVPTDHURMTXA5OH3PMQ JA

Weather is of no concern in Pittsburgh when you have 6 super bowl rings. Always happy in Pittsburgh. When it rains, we just distract ourselves with “super bowl ring counting.” That usually takes a while. By the time we are done, the sun has came back out.

  • Tommy The Truth

I dont think God really cares about the outcome of Football games! With it being decided that God gives us
Free Will, i dont see how He can help one person in a football game, and say the heck with all the rest! I dont believe He works that way i’m sorry to say! Ya see that would be like ” Fixing ” the outcome of the game! It would be cheating, and i dont believe God ” Cheats ” Tebow played a great game against a pathetic Steelers team! Next week we will see that Tebow is not getting any outside help! XD

  • robert lipton

if the nfl was officiating in favor of broncos….how come a lateral pass recovered by broncos was blown dead and ball given back to steelers… how come offensive pass interference called on completed pass at steelers 4 yd line. when reciever was not near a defender….how come four face mask holds on tebow were not called….what game did you watch…… did you watch or are you just looking for a reaction

    • Linda

AMEN! Robert! The Steelers were face mask happy all day long! Even on the last play, if you look real close, Steelers #29, is trying to really hard to grab Thomas’ face mask right before the game winning TD…. they weren’t called on hardly any of the face masks! Lots of missed penalites for the Steelers, I thought the Ref’s were trying real hard to make it so the Steelers won that game. But they couldn’t stop the Broncos on that one play!!!!!

the funny part is that there are 7 refs in an nfl game. and if you look it up, mark, john, luke or matthew are not any of those 7 refs names. why dont you stop putting out lies u damn retard

  • http://ahabiblemoments.com Wayne Stark

Mr. anonymous posted: the funny part is that there are 7 refs in an nfl game. and if you look it up, mark, john, luke or matthew are not any of those 7 refs names. why dont you stop putting out lies u damn retard.

Wayne: Thanks for your input, sir. Where can I find out who actually were the officials of that game? e-mail me the site that I would go to since I obviously am a bit Internet site ignorant.

I as a Crhsitian agree with you. There is always someone on both sides of an agruement who wants to make something more than what it really is/was.

Olease let me know where to look for the CORRECT information.

    • Anonymous

You say you are a Christian, yet you call people things like ‘you damn retard’. May want to reevaluate some things before you go out and publicly pronounce yourself a Christian. This is why people say things like “I like your Christ, but i do not like your Christians. They are nothing like your Christ.” God bless.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_4UZLELYTVPTDHURMTXA5OH3PMQ JA

If you are a christian, then act like it and do away with derogatory remarks, and quit insulting “retards” by using the word in a negative manner. You must be a cafeteria christian like most. I find it strange that many claim to be christian, but cheat on their wives, drink alcohol profusely, smoke or chew, material oriented. A person who claims to be christian is just another person wanting “face” time.
