Enough Already: Eli Manning asked Repeatedly About Peyton
Quarterback Eli Manning of the New York Giants was asked repeatedly about his brother, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.
“I’d love to see him back playing in Indianapolis next season,” Eli said, as the Colts-heavy crowd in the stands erupted in applause.
“He’s been very supportive of me and I know he’ll be rooting for the Giants on Sunday.”
Eli said he talks to Peyton most weeks, usually on Fridays.
“We’ve laughed at some of the Rob Lowe stuff. His focus is on getting healthy,” Eli said.
Eli was asked what winning a second Super Bowl would mean for his legacy. “As a player, I don’t think you think about your legacy…All I’m thinking about is what this woull mean for the New York Giants and their fans and certain players…what it would mean for Deon [Grant] or Victor Cruz or Hakeem [Nicks] to win a championship. I think you put it above yourself and ask what it would mean for them.
