Tim Tebow isn’t the fastest QB in the AFC East but who is?
Often in the NFL a huge emphasis is placed on the 40 time of players. New York Jets quarterback Tim is one of the more mobile quarterbacks in the NFL yet his 40 time isn’t overly impressive. A fullback playing quarterback, Tebow does possess deceptive speed with the uncanny ability to beat defenders to the edge. Despite Tebow’s athletic prowess, believe it or not, he isn’t the fastest quarterback in the AFC East. So who is?
6. Tom Brady, New England Patriots: Brady is doing his best to prove that less can be more when it comes to the speed of an NFL quarterback. At his NFL combine, Brady ran an unimpressive 5.28, 40-yard dash. Many scouts and teams may have snickered but Brady and the Patriots are definitely getting the last laugh. Brady’s career record is 124-35 and he’s played in five Super Bowls. Not bad for a slow poke.
Can Alex Tanney shock the Buffalo Bills, NFL?
Growing up I was always told that getting an education and going to college will help you get any job that you desire. I was told that you could be whatever you wanted but little did I know that reality shows and Youtube would be created. You can now skip the education part by making a video, posting it to Youtube, hope it goes viral and your famous. Of course sometimes people post to Youtube in hopes of getting noticed, sometimes it doesn’t work but for unknown Monmouth quarterback Alex Tanney it worked and has been noticed by some NFL teams especially the Buffalo Bills.
Buffalo Bills: Camp battles looming at defensive tackle
With the off-season acquisitions of Defensive Ends Mario Williams and Mark Anderson and the switch back to the 4-3 defense, the Buffalo Bills are the deepest they have been in years on the defensive line. In fact the team is currently carrying 17 defensive lineman going into camp and will likely cut that number down to eight or nine by the beginning of the 2012-13 season. Additionally, it is highly unlikely that any new faces are brought in through the remainder of the off-season at this position, barring a major unforeseen cut by another team, making this a prime place to start this series. Lets start off with the Defensive Tackle position:
QBs Dixon and Volek on Bills Radar?
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Buffalo Bills would like to add another veteran quarterback to the roster to create some competition at that position going into training camp. Bills General Manager Buddy Nix stated before the draft that he would “like to draft one (quarterback) every year”. That plan obviously did not unfold as zero of the Bills nine draft selections this past weekend will play under center. However, the Bills did pick up undrafted rookie free agent Aaron Corp, the former signal caller for the Richmond Spiders.
Smoke and Mirrors: Bills and Buddy Nix want Tannehill
At the ripe age of 72 Buffalo Bills General Manager, Buddy Nix, may just have a couple more tricks left up his sleeve. Known as a draft guru by colleagues around the NFL, Nix led the San Diego Chargers scouting department from 2001 to 2008 and assisted in the transformation of a dismal Chargers team into a consistent playoff contender after they had suffered a 10 year playoff drought. In 2009 Nix returned for his second stint with the Buffalo Bills and was promoted to General Manager following the 2009-10 season in hopes that he could duplicate his previous success.
