Buccaneers determined to change, sign Dashon Goldson
Dashon Goldson is the starter the Tampa Bay Buccaneers needed and wanted.
The Bucs acted swiftly and flew in to scoop up Goldson who was not re-signed by the San Francisco 49ers.
It was reported that he was searching for $7-8 million per year, much like Eric Weddle received from the Chargers in 2011 ($40 million, $19 million guaranteed). His contract was exactly that. Five years, $41.25 million, with $22 million guaranteed per ProFootballTalk.com.
After turning down a five-year $25 million deal from the 49ers in 2011, he took a chance agreeing to the franchise tag last season and took advantage of the situation by putting in one of his best NFL seasons.

The Bucs secondary was torched at times in 2012 and Goldson is expected to strengthen the defense with his physical play.
