NFL pick 3 ATS Week 16: Cowboys surging at the right time

NFL pick 3 ATS Week 16: Cowboys surging at the right time

Dallas Cowboys 300x169 NFL pick 3 ATS Week 16: Cowboys surging at the right timeJerry Jones said to the media “We will be just like the other team in our division that peaked at the right time.” It was only Week 8 and the Cowboys were struggling to survive. At that time many of us thought it was a joke. Despite the craziness that always surrounds them, somehow, someway, Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and the Dallas Cowboys are surging at the right time.

Overall Record: (214-79-2)

2012-2013 Season: 17-18

Last Week: 1-2

New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys (-1)

Believe it or not, if you search around you can actually find this game with the Cowboys only a one-point favorite. Much better than the three points being offered at other sites. As a favorite this season the Cowboys have yet to cover a spread at home. Last week marked the first time they were underdogs at home but they were able to squeak out much needed victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This week injuries play a huge role in the match up for the Cowboys. According to reports, Morris Claiborne was on the field for practice, Dez Bryant is continuing to practice with his fractured finger and DeMarco Murray is still resting but playing on Sunday.

As for the Saints, who would have thought the worst defense in possibly NFL history would actually shut a team out, but give props to the Saints who figured it out and did it against the Bucs, 41-0.

The Saints are 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against the Cowboys. New Orleans is just 1-3 SU and ATS over its last three games while Dallas is 5-5 SU and 1-9 ATS over its last 10 games at home.

The total has gone OVER in six of New Orleans’ last nine games on the road and five of Dallas’s last six games at home.

This has all the makings of a shoot-out, but I believe a Rob Ryan led defense will come to play and force at least three turnovers in a 10 point victory. Pick: Cowboys -1

Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins (-4.5)

Buffalo is only 2-6 as an underdog this season while Miami is only 1-3 as a favorite, but throw out any stats when these two long-time AFC rivals meet as they mean nothing.

The Dolphins are still somehow miraculously holding on to a playoff appearance, but the Bills would like nothing better than to end those chances.

These two met earlier in the season with the Bills victorious 19-14 at home. This is a classic example of what have you done for me lately. The Bills were embarrassed by the Seattle Seahawks last week while the Dolphins looked impressive over the Jaguars. Either way, neither of these teams are very good, take the points. Pick: Bills +4.5

Indianapolis at Kansas City (+6.5)

Plain and simple, a Colts win secures a playoff spot and they don’t want to wait to face the Texans again after losing last week 29-17.

History shows us the Colts have dominated the series 10-2 SU and 9-3 ATS since 1990.

The Chiefs offense can’t find their way out of a paper bag… Pick: Colts -6.5
