NFL pick 3 ATS Week 13: Seahawks road woes continue

NFL pick 3 ATS Week 13: Seahawks road woes continue

Russell Wilson 300x203 NFL pick 3 ATS Week 13: Seahawks road woes continueThe road woes for the Seattle Seahawks continue after falling 24-21 to the Miami Dolphins. A dominant team at home and a favorite of many bettors when playing there, this team is the complete opposite on the road. 1-5 straight up and 2-4 against the spread on the road, this team can’t be trusted away.

One of our writers even suggested running a two quarterback set, Matt Flynn for Russell Wilson home and away, but while that may be a bit too much the Seahawks to handle they must find  a way to win on the road. As time goes on it seems if they do make the playoffs, chances of them landing a home game are less than likely.

Here are the NFL picks Week 13: Pick 3 against the spread

Overall Record: (2011-72-2)

2012-2013 Season: 14-12

Last Week: 2-1

Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears (-3.5)

The two top scoring defensive units match up against each other this Sunday, but the Seahawks could be without their two top corners Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner. Both are facing four game suspensions for the use of performance-enhancing drugs and are a key component to this stingy defense. Reports state they are still available until their appeal is heard from the league.

If the appeal is not heard by game time, look for Jay Cutler to take advantage of his opportunities by finding Brandon Marshall early and often. Sherman and Browner have quickly become two of the league’s top corners and this could be a devastating blow to a team on the edge.

“I love their attitude and approach to the game, that’s No. 1,”Brandon Marshall said this week via Seahawks.com. “I think any successful professional athlete has to have a confidence about themselves and a swagger, and those guys have it. I’m impressed about their swagger, and they present some challenges just because of that. I’m excited about the match up and this opportunity to compete against them.”

The Bears could be without Matt Forte, but as of Thursday he was limited at practice. No matter, this is why the team went and picked up Michael Bush.

The Bears are only allowing 15.9 points per game and it could be a rough day for Russell Wilson and company. Pick: Bears – 3.5

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans (+6)

Opening at 4.5,  the spread quickly jumped to six and can be also found at seven at some locations. While I would have been better off at 4.5, six points is still nothing to worry about against the Titans and the way they have played as of late.

In Week 4 Houston drilled Tennessee 38-14, why should this be any different?

Can you actually tell me the Titans have improved since Week 4?

Since back to action, Jake Locker is only completing just under 52% of his passes.  Pick: Texans -6

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Denver Broncos (-7)

It’s easy to look at the Buccaneers and their recent success and take the seven points here. Of the five losses Tampa has this season none are by more than seven points.

It’s not always smart to go against the hottest team against the spread (8-2-1), but this is a defense that ranks dead last against the pass.

Last week Matt Ryan was able to shred the defense completing 26 of 32 passes for 353 yards. Look for similar stats for Peyton Manning without the two turnovers that kept Tampa in the game.

While the Bucs may be the hot team betting wise, it’s the Broncos who have won six in a row. The 5th ranked defense verses the pass and 9th ranked defense against the run will shut down the Tampa offense. Pick: Broncos – 7
