Carolina Panthers Resolutions
Cam Newton, Steve Smith, Ryan Kalil and the Carolina Panthers ended the 2012 NFL season on a four game winning streak which was no small feat for my beloved Panthers.
It was rough watching the first part of the season and the struggles not only Cam Newton went through, but the entire Panthers team. After all is said and done, they have without a doubt come out as the most improved team. As proud as I am of them, there is always more room to grow, and there is no better time for that than the New Year!
What will the Carolina Panthers New Year Resolutions be?
Absolutely it should be to not start out the season with promises that can’t be kept.
Most people remember center Ryan Kalil’s full-page ad in The Charlotte Observer promising fans a Super Bowl appearance this year. Perhaps an ad with a more attainable goal would be more realistic, however, probably less inspiring.
Offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski said it best, “Early there was some adversity, but we didn’t try to reinvent the offense. We continued to emphasize fundamentals…” With the basic fundamentals so much improved the season, fans should expect a stronger team right of the gate next season.
The fans should also have a resolution for their team, that no matter what, continue to support the Panthers, I believe that soon their hard work and our perseverance will pay off.
