Broncos not scared of losing Elvis Dumervil
According to reports from the Denver Post, defensive end Elvis Dumervil could be released as his $12 million base salary for 2013 carries a $13.6 million cap hit.
The Broncos are asking him to restructure, but they also believe they can replace him in the draft or during free agency.
The Denver Post also reported that former teammate of Peyton Manning, Dwight Freeney could be a replacement for Dumervil.
Are the Broncos serious about bringing Freeney in or are they simply using it as a smoke screen to let Dumervil know they are not scared of losing him?
Dumervil has had 20.5 sacks in the last two years but hasn’t played up to expectations and was out shined by Von Miller.
