Recently, the Green Bay Packers were searching for a trade partner for Bishop, but were unable to find a suitable team interested. Instead, Bishop was cut after being one of the bright spots on the Packers defense.
By cutting Bishop the Packers opened up $3,46 million more in salary cap room, which became increasingly important after the Aaron Rodgers signing.
Bishop was rumored to visit the Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders and Minnesota Vikings.
According to Bishop it’s the Jaguars and New York Giants in the mix. “The Giants and Jacksonville,” Bishop told Sirius XM NFL Radio. “The Giants and Jacksonville are the next two that are interested. Actually, the Niners called but of course, you know, they’re kind of set over there. I appreciate their interest in me regardless. But the Giants, which is a real good situation, and Jacksonville as well.”
