Cincinnati Bengals: Who Dey?

Who Dey? It may not make much sense to those not around the Cincinnati Bengals, but “Who Dey” is a term used by the Bengals fans. More importantly we  all want to see who the Cincinnati Bengals are this season. We want to know if what we have been seeing in the last two seasons is true and to be believed or is it another hoax that we have all seen before from the Bengals?

The Bengals have come a long way to becoming a team to be reckoned with in the AFC North and in the NFL. They are not such pushovers anymore. They are no longer the laughing stock of the division. Coach Marvin Lewis and the Bengals organization have worked hard to bring the team to where they are today.

Offensively they have a lot of weapons in their arsenal of tricks and players to pull them off.  Starting with quarterback  Andy Dalton, who has come into the Bengals organization and made the team his own.  He is a smart young man who is coming along nicely and learning how to play the position.  He is passing his trial by fire with every game that goes by. Dalton has his group of wide receivers A. J. Green, Mohamed Sanu, are his starters, and he also has a great tight end in Jermaine Gresham. Dalton also has two great running backs in his backfield in rookie Giovani Bernard second round draft pick who is averaging 4.4 yards per carry and running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis who is a transplant from the New England  Patriots who is averaging 4.0 yards per carry. These factors are helping his transition into becoming a true NFL  quarterback.

REY-MAUALUGA 2

Defensively the Bengals have become a tougher team to play against as a whole team.   Former Steelers standout linebacker James Harrison, second year linebacker Vontaze Burfict, and Rey Maualuga make up the Bengals linebacking corps who do a great job.  You do not hear too much about cornerback  ”Pacman Jones, but you sure hear about Adam Jones.  The seven year veteran is playing very good football.  He has cleaned up his act. He is a benefit to the Bengals defense.  Cornerback Terence Newman the former Dallas Cowboy is showing that he still has a lot left in the tank.

These new look Bengals seem to showing that they will not lay down the Bengals of old. These class of Bengals mean business and their business is winning the AFC North and making a run at the Super Bowl.  I am impressed in the way at which they have turned around this team.  Opposing teams need to look out because these guys are not going away.
