Bills defense makes any quarterback look good
The return of Stephon Gilmore, Jarius Byrd and Leodis McKelvin were exciting, but that was about it for the Buffalo Bills. No matter the players plugged in, the Bills defense makes any quarterback look good.
Nothing like playing the Buffalo Bills to turn your quarterback’s season around.
Andy Dalton had not scored a touchdown in has last two games before traveling to Buffalo. The results? The 337 yards he passed for on Sunday were the most for him since Week 6 of last season.
A solid 26 of 40, for 337 yards and three touchdowns caused everyone to be off Dalton’s back – at least for this week.
The same thing happened last week to Brandon Weeden, who of course, this week went back to the garbage he is.
Other than the five interceptions by the Bills practice squad on Joe Flacco the Bills defense has been horrendous.
The Bills have allowed 79 first downs by way of the pass so far this season. To make matters worse, of the 16 touchdowns the Bills have allowed this season 12 were by way of the pass.
Sure, the Bills pass defense has been a little suspect.
I mean there was a time where Justin Rogers, the Bills fourth cornerback was No. 1 on the depth chart.
But aren’t those just excuses?
Geno Smith looked like a number one pick, Brandon Weeden looked like he belonged in the NFL, and now Andy Dalton looked like he could lead the Bengals to the Super Bowl.
