5 games that defined the Super Bowl Champion Ravens
As the Baltimore Ravens celebrate their second Super Bowl as a franchise, there are moments from the 2012 season that make you wonder how they got there. Forget the fact that Ray Lewis’ retirement motivated the team through the playoffs, and that Joe Flacco carried the team on his back against Denver and New England. There was a great possibility that Ray Lewis’ final game would have come in the regular season, and that Joe Flacco would once again prove his critics right in not being an elite quarterback. Yet, somehow, someway the Ravens found their way to New Orleans with another shot at the Lombardi Trophy. When you look back at these five games, you have to wonder how the Ravens’ season didn’t end in the regular season and ended in no shot of reaching Super Bowl XLVII.
